Ronnie James Dio Tribute Detailed

Not a day passes that I don’t think about Ronnie James Dio, who I feel was vastly under-appreciated while living and now that he’s gone, has his ass constantly kissed by the metal community and media alike.

But that’s just my opinion. I could be wrong.

It’s been nearly four years since Dio’s death, and now, an all-star tribute is on the way, paying homage to the man behind the metal horns.

Friends and fans of Dio recorded 13 of their favorite tracks for a tribute album that will raise funds for the Ronnie James Dio Stand Up And Shout Cancer Fund.

Produced by his longtime manager and wife Wendy Dio (who went off and married some other dude not long after Dio’s death), the album includes Metallica, Anthrax, Rob Halford, Motörhead, and Killswitch Engage.

This Is Your Life will be available from Rhino starting on April 1. A digital version will also be available.
