Stone Sour Drummer Has Stroke; Band Cancels Tour

Holy fucking fuck! Roy Mayorga’s only 40 years old and he had a fucking minor stroke? How does that happen? What’s this dude eat, bacon sandwiches in bacon-wrapped white bread? That’s fucked. And now, Stone Sour have canceled their tour.

“It is with regret that we have decided to cancel the remaining dates on our current headline tour,” the band’s Jim Root and Corey Taylor say in a statement. “Our friend and drummer, Roy Mayorga, suffered a minor stroke a couple of nights ago after our show in Des Moines. He’s doing great and is expected to make a 100-percent recovery. We apologize to all the fans and look forward to getting back out on the road with Roy in the coming months.”

I wonder how long it’s going to take him to recover? And I wonder if his doctors are going to recommend he stop touring for his own good?

This comes not long after Stone Sour bassist Shawn Economaki was forced to leave the band’s current trek to deal with undisclosed “personal issues.”

So if you have a pair of tickets with the words “Stone Sour” on them, you’re shit out of luck. And have no taste in music.
